April Lockhart

April Lockhart was born on July 4 1995 in seventh grade. She began playing guitar and taking piano classes, which ignited her interest in writing songs. April Lockhart penned her first track"Different" at twelve years old. At the age of 14, April spent a lot of time in making song lyrics and working on her music. Then she began to take excursions to write with her father in NY in New York and LA. April added other themes to the tune "Take My Hand" to help her acquaintances who faced problems like peer pressure, issues, or even teenager suicide. Lockhart is a partner at the well-known Clean Beauty brand Ilia and is also a lifestyle influencer who has a growing fan base. It's true that she was born with no left hand. This makes her unique. However, this isn't the only aspect that makes her unique. So, Lockhart's Instagram profile does not shy away from her handicap, however the focus isn't on her disability neither. The profile is a statement. We are all more than just our physical self. Our identities are multifaceted and encompass a variety of elements. Lockhart, via video message sent from her Nashville home, says that I do not want this to define my character. I'm much greater than the physical person I am. The issue doesn't affect my everyday routine. I conduct doing my job as normal and have found my own methods to adjust. However, it's a component of me so I think that it's crucial to speak about. Lockhart has been a great example to other women in the area of acceptance of oneself. She admits that she has gone through periods of feeling insecure about her body and feeling uncomfortable in certain clothes which exposed her arms. Nowadays, she dresses what she's comfortable in and post images of her outfits to social media, she is proud of herself. The key to self-love for her is that it's not a place to go. It's the same for everybody regardless of their insecurity. It's my opinion that having those close to you who truly are aware of you and know your feelings is crucial because they'll be the people who will remind you what you worried about?
